If so, and it's possible (their ultras are crazy), this is the absolute worst possible way to go about producing the result. There's no way he's going to be psychologically ready for elite football in the short term, and there's the potential for long-term psychological trauma. Chelsea should find another solution.

I’m convinced we’ll still be hearing about the couple of windows we spent money in about 20 years time. Is every one of these pundits briefed to mention ‘Everton spent 500 million’ because they bring it up so often it’s ridiculous. You’d think we were the only club that had ever spent any money in the league.

When you factor in the players we’ve sold under Moshiri in that period as well Stones Gueye Barkley Lukaku Richarlison the expenditure is really not that much per season.
