Today’s Football 2022/23 Season

I've been watching him here in Germany for years. He is the best striker in the world. I said he'd score 40 in the PL this season - and he has started like an absolute train.

Another Germany-related player of interest is Thilo Kehrer. He is the embodiment of the appalling state of German defenders this century. He was a car crash at PSG and in the national team, and Moyes will regret spending money on him as the season continues.

He looks more like a wrestler, than a footy player !

It's the most confident i've been in years going to OT, But I was confident last year then we went and lost to Carrick :D

There's balance to your side, good positional link up, players have options when passing and runners making space. Jesus looks an inspired bit of business too.

It's all a bit of shame really, because nothing takes the sting out of being a Blue like half an hour of AFTV

Bring back the days of going away in Europe and losing 5-0 at the Allianz and wenger being called a Prehistoric bumhole.

Most strikers have a weakness somewhere either it be pace/finishing/movement/heading ability etc..

IMO he doesnt have one, he's excellent at every aspect of the game as striker.
I remember watching Jon Jones in his early UFC career absolutely dominating because he was one of the first true mixed martial artists, fighting guys who were specialists in one area or another.

Haaland reminds me of that. He’s like the next evolutionary step and other players just look weak next to him. It makes no sense that he can be that big and quick, as well as having the striker’s instinct for being in the right place at the right time.

Sucks he doesn’t play for us but he’ll be a fun one to watch in this league, just like Agüero was.

Fun fact: Erling Haaland was born in England and would have been eligible to play for England had he not already represented Norway.

Imagine having that monster lead England’s attack at the werrrld cup.

….the weird thing is, he misses chances. Watching the header he failed to convert in the lead up to Stones’ disallowed goal, yet he still gets 3. Defenders can’t handle his physicality but I do think he might be frustrating at times, as he was in the Charity Shield.
Scores in bunches, always has. Usually kicks in an assist when he doesn't net. It's not so much that he's streaky as that he has "on" days and "off" days, which is true of most strikers. Ronaldo and Messi have probably been switched "off" less frequently than Haaland over the years. They would have a few dry games, then go back to scoring every time out for a month and a half, with a couple of two and three-goal games mixed in.

Haaland doesn't usually get the same kind of momentum going, but it's rare that he's not on the scoresheet with a goal or an assist, and if he bags one then more often than not he bags two or more.
