Imagine Everton did a Man City in the 90s, got relegated a couple of leagues and spent significant time in the wilderness, only to come back, get bought out by Etihad then win the league 6 times since 2011.

We’d be chasing our 16th league title this season.
Err.. if we had had our Etihad Stadium ... Kings Dock for example then who knows!?

And they're bringing de bruyne on...
Real life football manager. It's not fair, they've broken rules, got away with it and continue to get better and bigger. The game as we know it is long since gone and we, as Everton fans, can probably forget about any kind of sustained success in our lives while the likes of City in their current form are around. They've already got their next competition in the shape of Newcastle. Soon it'll be the big 7, no doubt big 8 when another team gets bought out by a state.

Heartbreaking really. I always thought I’d see us win the league, never mind a cup, but now not sure I’ll even see us win a derby again.
