Brentford will be tough in a few weeks

I'd like us to beat them after they did a double on us last season but I think I'd take a point away from home if we've also managed to get something from the Villa and Forest games

Not confident with Villa away. Seem to have a terrible record there of late

The unspoken rule is you cant criticise Fronk on here but I've said for a while he, slippy and Rooney are over rated based on their playing careers.

Im not a great fan of Potterball but I do think he's the better manager out the 4 of them.

Probably better than Arteta as well.
To be fair, Potter has considerably more managerial experience. Frank will no doubt continue to improve, like everyone does at every job they do.

Precisely the kind of game that Frank needs to be getting a result in. He did what he was hired to do last season: keep us up. He even managed to galvanise the fanbase to some extent in the process (even if some of that was simply a reaction to the previous regime). He deserves every chance to prove what he's made of - but he also needs to live up to his admirers' billing now too. We need to be getting a result at Villa. I'd be pleased enough with a point for now. One from six isn't a stellar start, but it is surely the minimum an Everton manager would be expected to get from these opening fixtures.

Would I take Potter over Arteta? It's such a tricky decision but at this moment in time, I'd stay with Mikel.

But that proves the point. Why is a relatively inexperienced manager like Frank Lampard getting a job like Everton? Name recognition has loads to do with it.

Everton fans: ‘we had no striker, we made 1 mistake, we lost 2 centre halves, we played well’

Brighton fans: ‘we sold our two best players and just beat Utd at old Trafford with lallana and welbeck’

Brighton weren't in a relegation fight last season though....

And United are terrible

And a stone wall red card not given to McTominay.
Nope... as I said earlier, you need to see all of the challenge... and you will see that as McTominay (green boot) goes in for the ball, his foot is side on and studs down. In the impact of kicking the ball at the same time as his opponent, his foot slides off the ball and makes the challenge look far worse than it was.
McTominay Low-.webp
