He's terrible. He controls the tempo in a bad way by turning all attacks into a laborious slog and regularly fails to stop counters.

He's basically everything wrong with the Spanish National Team wrapped up into one player.

One of the best football managers ever has made him an ever present in a team that has won the premier league twice in three seasons and came runners up in the Champions League, and you’ve just said he’s terrible.

Why would you make yourself look a tit on purpose ?

As Rodri becomes more important to the side City get worse

First season - 2nd place, 81 points, 35 goals against
Second season -1st place, 86 points, 32 goals against
Third season - 1st place, 93 points, 26 goals against

Totally getting worse, dude.
Look if you want to default to "Pep plays him so he's good" feel free, I'm going to form my own opinions.

Maybe try telling me yours?

Those idea balls are razor sharp.

Rodri isn’t having a good season but he’s undoubtedly top class in holding midfield.
Well I have doubts.

Truth is I just hate that type of player. It only works because City outclass teams everywhere else. In competitive matches, such as today, he's crap.

He’s a very good player.

You’re definitely free to form your own opinions, just like I’m free to tell you they are wham.

Pep signed him because of his consistency. He does a job which appears rudimentary to the uneducated, but to do it at a very high standard week in week out is incredibly difficult.

Here’s an example, from an app which tracks player performances based on key stats. There is pretty much no other midfielder in the league hitting the consistency he was last season.

To call such a player a “fraud” and “terrible” just shows you either don’t understand football, or are trying to be provocative.
