Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

We will struggle to give Phillips away due to him wanting similar wages which no club will pay. He reminds me of a much worse version of Jack Rodwell which is probably unfair to compare tbh. Stones is under contract till summer of 2026 so we'll probably keep him but won't further extend his contract as he'll be 32, but if he can overcome constant niggling injuries we may do.

As for Branthwaite I like him. I was joking about signing him BTW but disagree about you saying you won't sell him because money talks and players walk. I hope he's at Everton for years to come as part of your spine in the team because I like Everton and wish you future success, not too much success, mind😉
If Branthwaite is going anywhere you can do a lot lot worse (i.e. Ake, who sends an absolute donkey every time I see him play).

If Stones didn't stay and went to City in the "early" years Branners won't turn it down. Still feel he's a much better defender than Stones was at the same age, too.

All this being said we'd all love to keep him. Bit weird being excited about a defender but he really is that good.

Branthwaite has alerted several clubs and unless he says he's happy and committed at Everton he'll keep getting tapped up. I see united are constantly sniffing around.

The kid is class and deserves to be playing at the highest level. IF we have a manager or board with any ambition, they would want the same for this club.

United are a very good stepping stone but years ago, United was to highest you could go.
