making it look worse to try and get players sent off, buy fouls when you can carry on etc should be stamped out of the game....

All VAR has done has made the corruption obvious. At least in the days when the big clubs got everything before VAR the refs would just claim incompetence. Now they’re all absolute masters in using VAR ‘clear and obvious’ for their own agenda. Just give whatever you want and unless it’s absolutely irrefutable it will stand, and then conversely don’t give the decisions you don’t want and unless it’s absolutely proven to be incorrect VAR won’t call it.

Just means refs are fixing games left right and centre to what the PL and its bookmaker backers want for tv ratings and betting outcomes.

Yeah corruption and that but come on our plight is mainly due to incompetence and Sean Dyche like. I sense you are moving towards the light now. Baby steps.

He barely touched him and Delap collapsed because he’d lost the ball. It’s also the fact that the ref didn’t give the one for Fulham that was as clear cut as they come until var intervened. Had he not given that for Ipswich, var wouldn’t have changed it.

That’s what VAR is for though, isn’t it? If he was unsure, he knew he had the safety net to overturn it if need be. As always, it took far too long and made to look more crap than necessary, but the right decision was made in the end in both cases.
