Ultimately a footnote, but there was an extremely odd bit of officiating around 80 mins. Brentford played in behind, very promising situation, but the linesman flags instantly and play is stopped. Replays show him to be onside, so nowhere near the point of it being an ‘obvious offside’. Very strange that standard protocol wasn’t followed to allow the chance to play out.

Not taking away from Slot, but I’d be way more impressed and confident in his true ability if he turned Everton around in a year or two to win the league as opposed to inheriting what he has and pushing auto-pilot.

Get the feeling most away games will be a struggle for Liverpool from now and they'll probably drop a few points. Just don't Arsenal will be consistent enough to do anything about it.
