Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

Get the feeling most away games will be a struggle for Liverpool from now and they'll probably drop a few points. Just don't Arsenal will be consistent enough to do anything about it.

Saka out until March so I can't see Arsenal pushing them anyway. I would only have fancied City if they were closer and could have bedded the signings in but they are too far behind now.

Ultimately a footnote, but there was an extremely odd bit of officiating around 80 mins. Brentford played in behind, very promising situation, but the linesman flags instantly and play is stopped. Replays show him to be onside, so nowhere near the point of it being an ‘obvious offside’. Very strange that standard protocol wasn’t followed to allow the chance to play out.
The only way in that situation is to ignore the corrupt officials and put the ball in the net.

Was it the same linesman that didn’t put his flag up on Wednesday night when the Villa defender had both arms wrapped around DCL
