I just don't get how Newcastle are doing an open top tour for the league cup. The FA cup would be a push for doing that, I thought it was just the league title teams did that or for promotion. This is a little bit OTT if you ask me. The trophy really is second rate and definitely not a major one despite what the media will tell you.

I don't see a problem with celebrating winning a trophy. I would love Everton to win it.

Also I don't think that it is a second rate competition just because the Sky6 have tried to make it such.

First trophy in 70 odd years, they should enjoy it. League cup used to be big as anyone could win it, has become bigger in recent years since all other trophies won by the top 5. Talk of a statue for Eddie Howe is way too much

…that’s nice. Weirdly, I remember a picture of Graham Williams in one of my Charles Buchan Christmas books, I think he was a very decent Left Back, @Littlesue will remember him.
