I know they're injured but I'm honestly sitting here thinking, wow, if they're all fit that's pretty good depth haha I keep forgetting about Barkley and Oviedo and didn't even know you guys had Gibson and just remembered you have Eto'o now. You guys put up a really good show without any of these players against us I have to say. You were effectively playing without Piennar as well since Osman replaced him early on. I just can't help thinking we'd be challenging for the league under Martinez I'm sorry.
No need to be sorry mate if money talks and it usually does, that is to say if our board don't pull their finger out and sell up to someone who can afford to run a football club, I can see Martinez winning titles at arsenal in a few years. FFS.

It reminds me of a debate I had with some of the Arsenal folks about Ramsey around Christmas time last year when we were up against Man City and Chelsea in particular. I said we had zero chance of beating them at time and I was right. What did they think would happen when he comes up against Yaya Toure etc. Ramsey is a good finisher but a sorry midfielder. We have never been as poor in the midfield as we have now and every Arsenal fan even Ramsey's die-hard supporters, were prepared to toss him aside for Fabregas. We have zero control of games with Ramsey in the middle, even Everton were running rings around us in midfield. It's just appalling. Good enough for top 4 but zero chance of winning the league and zero chance at even going to a semi-final in the CL.

yeah, he should be behind the striker, but then, all your best players play that position.

...you're basically spurs :P

i think he'd have to be in a midfield 3 to be a success deeper back tbh, the only way.

I hope you are right. But this is the man who repeatedly benched Giroud to start Sanogo upfront, nothing is out of the question.

But here's the thing, I would start Chamberlain ahead of Walcott. This is the problem with having hundreds of attacking midfielders, a lot of them will become bench warmers.

Really?

I rate Walcott very highly and, with giroud injured and you only having fanny Smelldick as a recognised striker, Walcot will get his dream roll upfront.

This is simply superb:

Roma defender Maicon was yesterday kicked out the Brazil squad, with Brazil refusing to explain why.

Rumours have spread regarding why the 33 year old full back was dismissed.

They largely centre around Maicon and Corinthians star Elias, with three main rumours doing the rounds on Twitter.

1. The first rumour was that Maicon was caught having sexual intercourse with teammate Elias.

2. The second rumour claimed he jerked off into David Luiz’s bottle of shampoo.

3. The third rumour, which originated on satirical Brazilian website Ole do Brasil, claims Maicon spread pepper and milk on Elias’s arse and then told him in the morning that he had been raped by four men.

Some tweets for each story can be seen below.
