....he's not looking the player he was, Joey. I doubt he was ever on for a return but I also think there's a bit of life in the fella so I wouldn't write him off.
I would write him off because hew would not come cheap in a tax scandal at the moment 3 million tax avoidance allegedly, he is like a crab when he plays been a great but sorry he is showing signs of being well over the hill, and I would not want him here in a part exchange deal with Coleman or a any other deal he can play in china as far as I am concerned I would rather see a youngster given a chance sorry Rooney= deadwood imo!

get him in as a backup striker for £15m. Still a smart footballer, would still get in good positions. As his legs grow tired, why would you keep pushing him further back where he has to do more running?

It's his own fault for not looking after his body properly, but the treatment the english are giving him is utterly pathetic. Leading ever goalscorer, never seen gerrard get it this bad despite a decade of poor performances.

Personally, I'd have Rooney back at Everton for the right price and would have him as back up striker

He's probably not got much more to offer at the top level, so if we can squeeze a year or two out of him for a reasonable price before selling him on to China for a profit, I'll consider it a job well done

Far be it for me to question Lord Michael of O' Neillshire , but we're northern ireland. We dont score many. But we have a striker who has 9 in his last 11 qualifiers. And we bench him. And play a league 1 embarrassment. Who I have been told by relatives of the captain, is purely in the squad for for quote "banter purposes". We are gash enough as it is but that XI is utter AIDS.

Will be watching from behind the sofa.
