I would argue that they're able to play fluently in the final third because their striker can hold up the ball. If Kane constantly lost possession through heavy first touches, Tottenham would labour in much the same way that Everton do.

Alabama defensive lineman Dakota Ball showed up to media day at the Peach Bowl with a heavily bandaged left hand and only three fingers and a thumb sticking out. That's because one of his fingers was blown off with a shotgun during a hunting accident during the Christmas break, AL.com reported on Thursday.

"I shot my finger off with a 12-gauge shotgun," said Ball of the index finger on his left hand. "It's completely gone. I shot it right at the knuckle and blew it off."
