Ali is a fanatastic player but he is not a player with particularly good technique on the ball who wants to control the tempo of a game. He is far more lampard gerrard or to be fair to someone on here who said Tim Cahill that's a good shout not the best footballer but a top quality player.

Just because Chelsea lost this round doesn't mean drawing to Sland is a point earned instead of two points lost. Even their stupid "alternative table" would say that's two points dropped.

If we were in the same boat, we'd totally be classing it as a point gained. It's as much about matching/bettering your rivals, no-one wins every single game so it's how you fare vs your rivals from week to week that really matters.

Agreed. I literally swore at the telly tonight when it said at the start of the game that the commentators wer Tyler & Alan Smith. I have yet to hear Smith make one sensible comment in all the times he's been co-commentating...

It is a point gained, but it's another round of fixtures gone and one that could and should have yielded a lot more for them.

They now head to OT for their next fixture with Chelsea facing a severely weakened Leicester outfit. They're unlikely to gain any points there. They have to make opportunities like that count in future or they haven't got a hope.

definitely, but then bloody hell, they've bought players like lloris, alderweireld, bale, modric and van der vaart, players massively above their team's status, so they should really have been competing better imo.
