75 +15+ 10 = 100
why the 10 Rooney was on a free?
your moving the numbers around to protect your friend @MorgsGoat as he claimed 75 million received + 15 million addons = 100 million! for Lukaku!
Rooney was supposed to be a free now you are saying he cost us 10 million + we are paying his 150k per week wages = 15 million so thanks we paid 25 million for Rooney according to your logic;)

yes but break how we receive this money of the add ons when Rooney was sold it was published in detail not the way you do it -or we have paid 25 million for Rooney if United are paying his salary of 150 K per week for 2 years as it comes to 15 million, and if you say a free transfer cost us 10 million the 25 million is what rooney cost us !
well done @orly you have worked it out;)

What the actual f is going on with the two mutants on the steps?

And is the guy to the left of them in the green windbreaker Boris Johnson's son?

Interesting. Crap movement and doesn't link with supporting players, yet scores 25 goals a season without penalties. It's especially interesting when you factor in that the forwards he was playing with last season (Deulofeu, Barkley, Mirallas, Bolasie) weren't/aren't very good and he has historically strong assist stats for a young, lone striker.

In the absence of excellent service, satisfactory movement and link-up with supporting players, how do you explain his being the scorer or assister of approaching half our goals every season?

... because we effectively played with ten men with him on the pitch, and could only attack when he turned up. People mistake that as him being the only player of quality in our attack, when the opposite is true - he was so poor in general play that he gimped everyone around him.

That's objectively provable, by the way. He had just 25 touches in that entire game yesterday, which is about standard for him - he was garbage, and it meant his entire team struggled for 80 minutes against a terrible side. Against better sides, that means you don't have an outball and you never get going because the team can't transition from defence to attack reliably enough.

I hate to agree with Alan Pardew of all people, but it says a lot that when someone as useless as him can see the issue, then it must be glaringly obvious.

"Lukaku needs to improve at Man Utd on when they regain possession," Pardew told Sky Sports.

"His movement today was not good enough, to go short or long, to play quick. He needs more of that [movement] and he'll get more touches.
"There were times when the ball changed hands to United and he was static. He needs to think a little bit quicker but when the chance comes, he doesn't miss. He's a great finisher.

"We were talking earlier about [Ruud] van Nistelrooy, Teddy Sheringham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He needs to get some of that cleverness about where to be without the ball."

In my view, none of the above is up for debate - it's that obvious. He's nowhere near good enough for the elite level, and that will play out very soon, except in the minds of those absolutely blinded by goal return.
