Today's Football 2017-18 Season

I had a feeling Arsenal would get a hiding today. Can see there being real unrest at that club this season.
On paper alone they fielded a pretty strong team with strength in depth on the bench as well, but there seems to be so many weak links.

They'll undoubtedly find a run of form at some point of the season based on their quality alone, however a downward spiral looks likely.

Wenger is trying to force players into a 3 at the back like Koeman. Teams will find the weak spots

I don't think it's the formation as much as insisting on playing out the back and trying to move up the field with short passes. That's exactly what Klopp wants you to do. He doesn't want a game with long balls over his pressers where his team has to fence and parry.

The total arrogance of managers like Wenger and Pochettino and Guardiola to insist on these suicidal tactics against the RS. I don't understand.

Was thinking exactly the same thing. You would think Wenger would have learnt his lesson as his recent record at Anfield isnt great but no he insists on playing a high line going toe to toe just waiting to be picked off by their quick attackers. Sit back and absorb their pressure and you have a chance of catching them out yourself. Crystal Palace made them huff and puff by doing this last week and they should have scored not long before Liverpool did.
All the so called big names with the exception of Jose and Conte last year fail to get this way of playing. In recent times we have been as guilty as anyone which goes a long way to explaining our pathetic record their. No doubting Liverpool's attacking credentials but some teams make it easy for them.

Having Ox and Bellerin out of position plus Ramsey and Xhaka as a midfield 2 are all bad things that don't help
