Just seen that Syria have got a play-off spot for the World Cup, remarkable. Been playing their home matches in Malaysia. Still, I hope it's Australia that qualifies.

From my welsh perspective I would be happy taking on Northern Ireland over a two-legged play off. You know what you are going to get, hardly any travel, they have done remarkably well but if we can put out a full strength side I think we will go through.

(Really though would just be happy making it to the play offs!!)

I'm just glad that there's absolutely no one who will fancy coming to Belfast. Over 4 years since we lost at home.

Would be very happy with Wales in the play offs, a draw away and beat them in Belfast though they will do well to make the play offs.

Yes at home you would give any team who didn't work hard a game. But by the same token how many games have Wales lost recently? Serbia, Belgium and even the ROI away are equally difficult places to go.

Might all be moot for us anyhow as it's 50/50 whether we get that far.
