All day on grandstand etc.
Luckily as a lad I was usually at Wembley, it seemed, but now, I tell you what, I couldn't name the last 10 winners in the correct order.

Same here. Could probably name the goal scorers from the mid 70s to late 80s as well, not even sure who the current holders are. Arsenal?

Nah the open draw is part of the attraction. You can get minnows fluking it to the last 8 or massive 3rd round ties. Teams just need to play their best sides and teams need to remember the simple fact that you play football to win trophies. No other incentives should be necessary.

Anyone who says there is ever any benefit of going out of any competition, is part of the problem. And also very wrong.

I think the 3rd round should be seeded now.
Prem clubs can't play eachother.
Guaranteed money for smaller clubs and could spark a bit of interest.
I'm sure others have better solutions like, but it's lost it's spark IMO.
