Today's Football 2017-18 Season

we've won 4 out of our last 6 at home. I'm not deluded, i'm just not so utterly negative like our fanbase has turned. Regardless of how crap we have been all season we're still easily safe, we cocked up finishing 7th on the weekend, not 17th. We've been turd and there are still 9 teams worse than us, that's half the league, bit more than "not many".

What you're being is complacent, which is the exact opposite to what we as a club and fan base need to be right now

We have three massive home games against Brighton, Newcastle and Saints that, if we win, will put us on 43 points and probable safety. We need to be treating these games like cup finals, because realistically I think they're the only 3 games we have any chance of winning. We're crap away from home and we're going to be well up against it when we play City and Liverpool

We essentially have only three games to amass enough points to get us safe

Complacency will kill us stone dead right now. I just don't see how anyone can be so confident to say we're definitely out of this, because we're absolutely not. We need all the teams below us to keep dropping points like Palace did tonight, because I honestly don't think we'll be capable of doing this on our own. The whole mentality is wrong. The players, the coaching staff and a lot of supporters seem to think that we're already safe, but we're not. It doesn't make you brave to be so bullish

Mate I get that you're worried.. but are you seriously telling me that there's a realistic chance that we won't even manage 4-6 points in the games we have left?

I definitely do yes

Say Brighton nick one, and then Newcastle hold us to a draw, we then need to beat Southampton and probably get something from West Ham on the last day of the season. Can you see us turning up for a big crunch game like that right now? I'm not so sure

If I was confident we could win those three home games then I wouldn't be as worried, but I'm really not. Even when we win at home these days it's done with a fair amount of difficulty

I think Brighton have got their mentality right and we've got ours wrong. They'll show up prepared to fight on Saturday, because they'll be willing to accept that they're actually in the fight. We're not prepared to do similar

That will have broken Palace, who have statistically according to mein frondel @MoutsGoat the hardest run in

IF we we beat Brighton, we are safe 10000000000000000000000000000000000000%

No mate, we do. We barely have a Premier League standard defender outside of Coleman to speak of at the club, we're playing a League 2 right back at left back every single game.

All the sides below us have big glaring issues it's not just us, I can understand you being worried because we've shown little in the last two games but I can see Stoke getting cut adrift over the next few weeks. They have City, Spurs and Arsenal...and us in their next four - They could be done in early April.

Big IF there buddy friend guy

I reckon we will.

Our home results are alright, only 'shock' result is the Burnley home loss and they were in the middle of a good run. Brighton aren't that good on the road, they will be targetting one more home win, and our gang of rat professionals will see this match as a way of protecting their grossly overinflated contracts and egos by staying up.

3-1 win, lots of hand shaking.
