Marquinhos is good enough when playing midfield to be considered a proper midfielder imo. It's not like sticking Jags in midfield.
Yep but the fact remains he’s a centre half. How can a club as rich as them not have a properly balanced squad to manage injuries.
Or in fact a squad where your centre half is your best midfield replacement.

I don't remember it being a problem when Frank Rijkaard played both positions. Marquinhos isn't that good but he's the closest thing modern day.
