Begrudingly, I've got to disagree. He's been poor for a while now (apart from was it Watford?) but he's still on seventeen league goals and assists this season.

If that means he's nothing more than a flat track bully, then I would - without hesitation - have one at our club. Last season was thirty-two goals wasn't it ?

Can you imagine Rico diving on one wing and Salah diving on the other. They'd be the perfect synchronised diving combo and give Tom Daley and co a run for thier money

Don't think he's scored in any big games though. And how many of those goals are from pens where he's realised he's not good enough so chucks himself on the ground?

And I've a feeling Harry Kane.. in some weird deal involving Gareth Bale.

That would be one of the biggest pay cuts in the history of togger if Bale moved there.

Isn't he on something crazy like 350k a week? Daniel Levy would be "now Gareth, about your wagss....90k per week basic, 5k per goal, 5k per assist, 2k per appearance and every time we win the league or Champions League you'll get a nice one off payment of 10m which covers the shortfall of your slightly lower wages

Don't get me started on performance related pay for players mate..

Would completely change the game that.

Thing is, Bale would still make that sort of deal work wouldn't he !

What with? The Ronaldo sale together with their cash reserves was spent today on their wage bill. (They pay their players every 6 months). They have spent/borrowed £1/2 Billion to not improve the ground.

The new Government will not be complicit in opening lines of credit like previous ones have. Their owner/President hasnt got anywhere near enough cash to meaningfully help.

As it stands, they have no money. Owe a bundle. And have to meet the wage bill in six months time. Granted, a wage bill ,minus Ronaldo. 100% of their income between now and then will be to run the club/service debt.

In six months time they may well not be able to pay the wage bill, without borrowing. Which they cant.

And we have spent half a billion and not improved the ground too !!

( figures are off the top of my head, and are probably incredibly innacurrate.. )

Coutinho was a much better player for the bitters and I always said he was a good couple of levels below barca. Their infestation in the media bigs good players up to be the best in the world when they're so far from that. Can't believe that fraud van dijk is being labelled the best in Europe, not even close.

I heard on Sky or MOTD yesterday that Robertson is the best left back in Europe. It’s amazing that they’re not leading the Premier League by 10 points.

Dunno, but if it is, thats £200m every 6 months. They needed the Ronaldo cash added on to pay todays wage bill. So, in 6 months time, they get another £200m, to meet a wage bill that just emptied their bank account. Sans Ronaldo cash.

Built on sand atm.

And yeah, we have spent a few bob, but they have spent half a billion actually on the ground. With the massive addition of Zero seats.
