I don’t think any of them want 2 months minimum jail time. You’re right that there’s an impact on future football matches but the whole criminal law can’t change just to be a deterrent for the good of football. People can’t be locked up for a year just for getting into a scrap. The jails would be overflowing. Are we going to lock up the rugby players who punch each other as well?

It's an odd one.
If the ref called that game off yesterday it would have cost a fortune to refund tickets etc. Travel for fans to rearranged game etc.
The sentence is what it is, but the club's all need to have a plan to stop this going forward.
Ferguson got the same sort of sentence for a scrap on a field I guess.

No way is salah good enough for Madrid. He had a one off season and this season he's been a flat track bully, that wouldn't help topple barca. Coutinho was a much better player for the bitters and I always said he was a good couple of levels below barca. Their infestation in the media bigs good players up to be the best in the world when they're so far from that. Can't believe that fraud van dijk is being labelled the best in Europe, not even close.

Winson Green (better know as HMP Birmingham) where he'll probably be sent isn't a nice nick either - not to dissimilar to Walton.

Begrudingly, I've got to disagree. He's been poor for a while now (apart from was it Watford?) but he's still on seventeen league goals and assists this season.

If that means he's nothing more than a flat track bully, then I would - without hesitation - have one at our club. Last season was thirty-two goals wasn't it ?
