I think the rule is if it's touched by a teammate, but in practice it means the teammate actually putting the ball through.

Otherwise, if the rule is the last player who touches the ball counts, then any pass that gets a nick off a defender would mean the striker was onside?

Common sense tells me that Eriksen has played the pass, it's a deflection off the City player and therefore it should be onside because there's no deliberate action from a City player to give an assist.
This. Silva hasn't meant to touch it otherwise like you said do players suddenly becomes onside if it deflects from a defender. Don't really get it.

Looking at the fixtures, Liverpool got Newcastle away in the middle of a Barca sandwich all of a sudden doesn’t look that simple, could be a banana skin.

Spurs in a European Cup semi final looks so strange especially amongst clubs who have a combined 14 cups between them.

I'm glad they beat that financially doped club though, no one in mainland Europe likes City because of what they are.

I'm sure Pep will spend another £500 million in summer no doubt.

City should be in that 4 because they actually play good football unlike your kick punt and rush lot. Your semi final will be beauty vs the beast. Messi being chased around by yard dogs like Henderson and Milner trying their best to boot him and then lash the call down the pitch as hard as they can and pile after it.

I don't feel that's the intent of the rule though. It's a weird one.

Maybe, maybe not but it's quite simple, Aguero was in offside position when the ball was touched by Silva and thus penalised when he touched it himself.

Really harsh but thats the law, VAR got it right.

I said it before, City going out and Liverpool going through is great.

Now if Liverpool were in the Ajax half it'd be a different story, but they have Barca. And to be quite frank, if they beat Barca I won't argue if they go on to win it.

City, 5 games and a FA Cup final. Get on it boys.

I will always have a problem with that shower.

Have done since 85 and that will never change.

Don't underestimate Ajax. They did similar with a young, vibrant side in 95.

If VAR allows a goal to be scored off a centre forwards forearm, then what is the actual point of it?

It's ruining big moments of big football matches. And it's being used selectively and inconsistently.
Said it from the start,i am not a fan of VAR,it will get the odd few right, but will still get so many wrong as it still most of the time comes down to what someone else thinks, plus the time it takes,it takes the enjoyment of celebrating a goal and so on
