Today's Football 2018-19 Season

That'll feel like a win for them. City will 100% bottle it against Liverpool.

The positive is that Salah looks increasingly like a one season wonder. An injury to one of Mane or Firmino would finish their title challenge I think, whilst City can absorb injuries to the likes of De Bruyne and still beat the fodder of this league at a canter.

I still honestly think Liverpool are favourites for the title though. Not objectively, as that would be City, but I just have a horrible feeling about the way this is shaping up and I simply don't trust City to do what they should do and win the league by about 10-15 points.

Really?

After watching that City documentary, Pep will be obsessed more than anything this season to get revenge on them. It's the way he is.

Not been mentioned but Jadon Sancho came off the bench today and completely changed the game in Dortmund's favour. Hopefully he'll get a call up for England soon.

Could've asked him to spring counters. Which he did twice. One didn't make it to Hazard and they scored (was a wonder strike though).

End of the day Sarri likes him a lot so he'll keep playing him and they're not exactly looking pap
It was a wonder strike to be fair.
I wouldn't have brought him on in those circumstances (protecting a lead). Takes risks and sometimes in his own half. It does seem that Sarri likes him though. Time will tell I suppose.

City have been pretty lucky that De Bruyne being out has matched up with them playing Fulham, Brighton, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Newcastle and Oxford. They are still by far the best side in the league but I don't think you could cherry pick an easier start. What will be interesting for City is how they react in midweek, Hoffenheim away is a pretty tough game. They lose that and the Champions League could end up off the table rather early.

If CL goes off the table for them it’s a huge advantage second half of the season. City beat Arsenal who are now winning. Liverpool have to beat them at Anfield otherwise it’s advantage City.

Do you have faith in City going to Anfield and not bottling it? I don’t think the RS will drop many points this season. Have a feeling it may come down to the 2 games between them.
I think you're right. Now that they've got that out of their system they'll win every game from now until the end of the season. Will finish on 112 points and will smash every record.

Arsenal are a weird one at the moment, admittedly I haven't watched them much for the full 90 minutes but from the highlights they look like they are still all over the shop but just scoring at the right moments. It's a five game streak but they look like they could be hit for 3-4 by a top side.

Think it will be a score draw next week at Anfield, surely this whole City being horrendous when visiting there has to end sooner or later?

Ah well suppose the equaliser was inevitable. Shame an ex-Blue had a hand in it, they'll be loving that.

Still far too early to be awarding them the title though, history suggests that their 'challenge' usually fizzles out sooner or later.

Boss game of togger that. Our keeper kept us in it and our finishing cost us too. Lovely finish from Hazard after Trent went chasing the ball. They look a proper team too. Games like that aren't "must win" but "musn't loose". Think we moved the ball far too slowly today. Fair result.

Chelsea played the last half hour of that game in 3rd gear content to try and contain. I personally feel they should have pushed harder for a second ... it was there for the taking.
