Now 'ex man city' Michael Brown.

yep, did he even play a game for them or did he just come through their youth system. what an appalling question to ask though, i'd understand it if it was biased but they're not going to make up 14 points on chelsea, arsenal and united as well as leicester, us and wolves haha BBC are so shocking.

and how many good players do leicester have? they have a top striker and nothing else really. Their centre mids are energetic but not great players, everyone else is average really. 7th may get europe so there is a difference between 7th and 8th.
Difference I'd say is they've added a player here and there over the last few years since they won the title but by and large there is continuity down the team. We don't have that yet. Which is another reason I'm passed results for this season and just want to see progress. If we want to challenge top 6 or God forbid even maybe the CL we need to just play better football. Once we've done that we can turn our attention to results.

It's like another mini league now with ourselves, WHU, foxes, Watford and Bournemouth all fighting for 7th. I'd like to say we are better than them but at the moment I'm not so sure. Every team mentioned there will be just as inconsistent as we'll be here on out. Top 6 has gone. If we finish 7th it's an achievement, from this moment on.

yeah, at the start of the season our performances weren't getting the results they deserved, mainly due to stupid officiating and bad finishing. The reason we're so low is because we don't win enough games all because we have no bloody strikers. You see teams like soton and west ham, they have retched squads with no depth, whereas ours is probably deeper than some of the top 6, but these clubs seem to have 3 or 4 actually decent strikers and we have crap.

Look at arsenal's bench today, i mean i don't think we've put out a bench that bad all season. We should be finishing 7th and no lower imo, but hey we're getting a good young squad together with a good core so it doesn't worry me too much. We just need to start stringing some wins together, i thought the burnley win would be the start of that but no.

Think we're all as good/rubbish as each other. Vardy is probably the reason we're edging it at the moment

it's beyond any reason of doubt he's the reason. We were hardly great against you, but got in so many good positions, as we have every game this season, but miss so many chances, then one mistake in defence, bang and we're below you instead of ahead. Whenever you guys win a big away game at the top 6 he's always on that scoresheet. We have about 10 players good enough to create for that type of player, but not that type of player to finish off the chance.

I don’t see how there is progress if we don’t get results.

I also cannot see if we are still crap by the end of the season, how on earth everything will suddenly change after this summer. We are talking about top 6. At the moment, we can’t even beat some poo at home and lingering at 11th.

I think the striker thing is of our own doing. Richarlison showed some promise but had a bad game there vs Watford, a game in which the whole team was awful, and we moved him back wide. Now that may have been to solve the problem that we aren't creating a whole lot but Richarlison is not a player who thus far has shown the ability to be a creator. I think if we stick him back up top we may be able to end this striker nonsense at least until the summer.

I agree we should finish 7th. I just don't really think it matters if we do. For example tomorrow I want us to win because that's what I always want. But really at home it is more important that we start scoring again so I'd much rather see us create chances and draw 3-3 or something than put in another labored attacking display that somehow squeaks a 1-0.

Lastly the Burnley win was a mirage. We created a couple of big chances which we took and then had an impressive finish from Richarlison and two belters. It wasn't the type of performance that regularly generates 3 goals much less 5.

think it was just the only game we were clinical in, we've had more games this season that we should have scored 5 than we haven't. This isn't half chances we miss, it's sitters, 3 on 1 situations etc.

By "progress" I think a lot of us mean in the playing style, which when augmented by better players up top will lead to better results. We weren't going to go anywhere with the system the gravy guzzler was using. Don't forget, we went three or four games in a row without a shot on goal. We're getting tons more chances now, we just lack that finishing touch and once we get that, we'll see progress up the table.

If you can't tell the difference between a game where we create chances regularly but have an off day finishing and some bad luck that ends 2-2 and a game where we can barely create a half chance and draw 0-0 or even win 1-0 I really can't help you. The way to win consistently is to consistently create better shooting chances than your opponent. Results will come once you can do that. We currently don't but if we start doing it, win lose or draw, we will at some point start winning more.

West Ham probably one of the few teams in the league worse to support than us. They either get tonked or pull it out the bag against someone decent and form/players/confidence don’t count for anything

Maybe a couple of times but I think we've been a bit better in front of goal than people think. I mean the first two away games of the year we had not business scoring 2 goals in either yet we did. Both Leicester the first time and Watford we earned points on screamers. I think the problem is far more lack of creativity than it is lack of finishing. It's one of the reasons I'm so confused by the "we desperately need a strikers" shouts. It won't matter if we don't get that person the ball in dangerous spots.
