The game they have in the midweek after the Cup is Leicester at home.

That’s their next four games :(

But after that they go to resurgent Manchester United :)

Though know8ng us, we will take points off’ve City that same weekend :(

Ah right, don't know what I was looking at ha

Petr Cech has announce he's retiring at the end of the season.

Comfortably one of the best goalkeepers to play in the Premier League, especially in his early years.

I would say the best to play in the PL, when at his peak.

(I know Neville played in the PL era but he was not at his peak by then)

Over Schmeichel Snr, De Gea and Seaman? That's a big call. He was very, very good - especially before he had his head injury.

The general apathy they have towards their team is appalling. Constantly empty seats in the ground and an atmosphere where you could hear and smell a fart. I think it stems from an expectancy that they’re going to win whether the fans turn up or not and even if they don’t win anything this year they can spend big in the summer and win something next year. They’re never more than a season away from at least one trophy. They really don’t know how good they’ve got it.

If they weren’t up against you know who I wouldn’t want them to win the league simply because it means nothing to them. I just can’t get on board with that when we have an entire generation of fans who haven’t seen a trophy win (myself included) and are just desperate for something and to whom it would mean the world if we could win even a league cup.

Thing is, their support is now diluted because of 2 key things - first the ground move, and second the thousands of extra "fans" that are now attending the Etihad. They have one of the most loyal passionate hardcore supports in the country and by that I mean the ones who will carry on supporting them regardless of how they do. The evidence that proves it is their 28K in the 3rd tier, and 32K in the 2nd tier at a time when their city rivals were the best team in England and in Europe. Football attendances have changed now so that the likes of Newcastle can get crowds of 49K in the Championship, and Sunderland can get a 1 off crowd of 46K in league 1. Neither would have got anywhere near that back when City got their high lower division crowds, if in the same circumstances, and neither of them clubs in the NE have had to endure the existence that the true Man City fans did in the late 90's/early 2000s with their nearest rivals winning everything.

If anyone doubts them, look at their average crowds in the 1980's, who like us dropped to a lowest average of 19K (except they were actually in the 2nd Division that season).

The comparable clubs - Villa, Newcastle, Leeds, even Chelsea fell to 12-16K crowds.

If City were currently playing in a packed Maine Road of 35K, I reckon we'd see how much it meant to their genuine fans. As it is their in a soulless bowl stadium with 20K extra "fans" that didn't care about them 10, 20, 30 years ago.

It's one of the reasons I have got over my initial disappointment that we have opted for 52K if/when we move. It may retain some of the identity we have now and have at Goodison.

Oxford United player Gavin Whyte was filmed masturbating in the street with a friend. Police investigating.

He won the George Best award for Break through of the year at the northern ireland sports awards last night. Then this story broke on social media about 10pm. You couldn't make this stuff up.

The video is actually worse than you'd imagine!
