Watched Colombia desrvedly beat Spain last night. First half, Spain had more of the ball but Colombia had the best chances.
Second half, James came on Colombia took control. Luis Diaz was a nightmare for the Spanish defence and set up the only goal. A really good finish by Daniel Muñoz.
Loads of Colombians at the London Stadium. Probably the best atmosphere I've seen at a match there.

After failing to qualify for the last WC, Colombia changed the manager. Brought in Nestor Lorenzo, former assistant manager and are unbeaten in 18 games since. They look well organized and good on the counter attack.

Spain are a pale immitation of their great team of a decade or so ago. Same blueprint as then a but an immense difference in quality. All pretty good players but not one of them would get in to that team that won 3 back to back trophies.

If memory serves, Arteta didn't win a single cap. Right now he'd be their most important player.

The likes of Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi look like they could be amazing players but are still too young. Remains to be seen how the likes of Pedro and Gavi come back from injuries (Ansu Fati?).
Hopefully for them, it's not a case of Barcelona and the national team pushing the younger generation too much in a deperate bid to get back to their glory years.

Hope Yamal and Cubarsi don’t go the same way as Pedri and Gavi

Must be a record low attendance for a game Bulgaria have been involved inView attachment 249712
Probably.

Also a ridiculously pointless friendly. We recently hired a new FA president and he's hilariously just as bad or worse than the previous one - Borislav Mihaylov (yes, the one with the wig, that's his nickname here too).

At least they let us win which is less humiliating. Unbeaten against African teams*!

* had a brainfart, it wasn't played in Africa haha
