Certainly be one way for them to avoid a PL points penalty next season. Can see it happening too.

I honestly thought they were getting deducted Points no matter which league they are in. Dont actually know

Yeah, think they will. I guess a points deduction would hurt less in the EFL as they should near the top regardless but obviously getting promoted would be better. With the size of their wage bill it's pretty much a necessity, they are in big trouble on multiple fronts if they don't.

Still think the worst case scenario is all three relegated sides bouncing back up as all have retained strong squads and could hit the ground running. Although Leicester coming up and getting points (and possibly having to sell to avoid further PSR charges) maybe changes that equation. Naturally, just as we start to maybe want Leicester to come up they start having a wobble. Think Ipswich claiming an automatic berth though would be the best thing for us for starters. Like you say all this assumes we're in the PL of course.

I might be wrong (my bets would tell you I usually am) but I think Ipswich would stay up, if they keep their manager.
