There’s 7 nuclear powers and 13 teams of utter dross. Villa are supposedly the best of that group and have been dispatched heavily twice now by Newcastle and Liverpool.

There’s two leagues forming between the haves and the have notes. Those who can spend freely and those who can’t spend anything.

Said it last week but the top clubs will benefit from the Saudi league more than it hampers them. Some of the fees they are getting fuels further spending.

As things stand - Villa, Fulham, Luton & Burnley have conceded more goals than us. A fourth for Palace here and Wolves will have as well.

Of course Palace have played Newcastle & Liverpool, but it seems we aren't the only side with defensive frailties on recent evidence.
