He’s absolutely awful.

Southgate came to watch him this season, and it’s very rare that the England manager is going to take in a game in Scotland like that

He was decent and I reckon he’s only narrowly missed out

I was actually quite hopeful he’d make it just because it’d be a boost for the league to have someone make the squad for such a big side after playing their regular togger up in Scotland

Alas, it wasn’t to be

I couldn’t see him making it because he’s really bad with his feet.

Well that showing yesterday will certainly not have embiggened his chances, but it was obviously too late anyway

I think he was unlucky yesterday actually

First off the defenders should have closed that player down to prevent the shot to begin with

Secondly it starts changing direction after the initial shot is made, so he actually does quite well to adjust and get a hand to

Thirdly, the defence left him totally high and dry on the rebound by giving the goalscorer the freedom of the city of Glasgow to just waltz in and tuck it away

Those ones happen if you’re a keeper sometimes

I sound like his chuffing publicist here don’t I lol

He was a little bit unlucky tbh

Though I was mostly just grabbing a chance to use the other word that The Simpsons made up after you used cromulent lol

Agreed.

Agreed.

When he was at Palace he was a decent keeper but was caught a couple of times fannying with his feet, most notably away at Millwall in the FA Cup. England have a dearth of keepers but he is in front of Ramsdale and Trafford for me.

Just visiting my dad in intensive care to tell him saints team news, then going to pub to watch the match. Then back to the hospital to tell him the score. Never in my life have I wanted Southampton to win so badly. Either result could finish him off tbf.
Have a like for the sentiment, but it's concerning he's in a bad way. Hope he pulls through.

Was terrible that proper bullying

Shearer's proper smug 'ok' at the end the utter helmet.

He got a league title in a team that bought the league and to be honest they very nearly blew that. Despite all his goals he won nothing else. Nothing.

Fair play to ETH for calling the media out for what they do. Hope they keep him on to shut that lot up. They aren't great but he's won two trophys in 2 years with a poor team that's had a pretty bad injury record
