EU antitrust/competition law has stuck down almost all “regulatory” behaviour from football authorities that has been legally tested against it in a court of law as being anti-competition. Financial regulation that caps what smaller teams spend and allows bigger clubs to spend significantly more would almost certainly be considered the same.

The anti-competitive nature of the rules are plain to see when you have the authorities demanding Richarlison and Johnson are sold to other teams in the same division for cheap to meet their rules.

Despite the weird fetish some people have for the PSR rules there isn’t a court out there that would find it creates a competitive environment.

He has made one sub appearance for the first team in his time with us. One of those really unlucky lads who is really injury prone. The initial thing cleared up but since then it’s been a series of muscle injuries as he has tried to get fit again.

At 17:50 and we've just had the hairdryer bit from Rooney. Keane's little shake of the head keeping eyes on him. I thought the massage lot were on for the worst (and funniest) of it. Neville is ring master, happy clown Wright, sad clown Keane. Rooney along for the ride so far. "Relax, relax!"
