Like we mentioned before, I have no idea of the rules any more. I had a Google and apparently, it now states it won't be penalised unless it's the scorer.
Although previously, "If an attacking player's accidental handball immediately precedes another player scoring, the goal will now be awarded." So who knows.
Year-on-year, the rules change.
But the hand is directly controlling the ball accidentally or not. So he's gained an advantage from it.
If a striker leathers a ball at point blank range and it hits a defenders hand/arm...there's replays and a court hearing
