On the bright side, this means 5th and the europa is more than gettable for us.

7th will do this season I reckon.

Then the brown stuff hits the fan in the transfer window for us. Loads of cheap and cheerful buys to spread ourselves to cover extra games.

What a wonderful legacy Billy Liar will leave the club. No money to compete in the competitions we qualify for.

Thanks Bill. And thanks John Houlding, second only to Bill in the fortunes he's bestowed on the club.

Funny, we managed just fine every other time we've qualified for Europe in recent years.

Sod them to be honest

We can't keep measuring our own worth based on how well they're doing

We should look to ourselves and concentrate on that

They were always going to bounce back at some point. A club that big, it was inevitable

I am concentrating on us, i'm surprised you can't see the implications.

If they get in the Champions League, it's harder for US to qualify going forward. That's why i don't want Spurs to lose.

Spurs losing is bad for us, in the long run.

A Liverpool who qualify for the Champions League just increases the gap between them and us.
This, over the last four seasons, team that invested could have had a real shot at becoming a champions league club, that was never going to be us, spurs fell just short and lost their best player. we will have to hope liverpool balls it up next season, if they hold onto suarez and invest that will be a real problem, since they sensibly took transfers out of rodgers hands i fear the worst

I agree they wouldnt get fourth with fergie there, but sucking teams into a high line, and hitting it direct works for them with the quality up top, coupled in with being a good set piece team, its gotten them fourth, its annoys me that the media keep on about them being purists, but it has worked. It won't work forever, though, but it is what it is right now. It plays to their strengths and covers their weaknesses, meaning the likes of henderson dont have to act like midfielders.

It's very predictable. Not exactly reinventing football like: welly it up to Suarez and his mate and cause mayhem with their movement.

On what basis? Spurs qualified themselves not long ago remember and they've hardly moved away from the rest.

Can you honestly see them lot challenging for the title again next year and playing in the CL? Would be a first for many a year if they do.

Theres no great science behind it, and like I said teams will adapt, the worry is they have the funds to invest and get rid of the dross like henderson, skittles and toure, then that system doesn't become their only option, I think they will need a smarter manager personally, but they have the resources and with fourth the opportunity

Happy with spurs losing. 5 points behind them with a game in hand and looking at our respective fixtures in March, coupled with Europa games, we can definitely claw that back.
