That starting XI would make sorry reading for any United fan.

The decline of Ferdinand and Vidic has been there for all to see. Smalling at right back cripples the team's ability to attack down that flank.

Young, Cleverly and Valencia in midfield speaks for itself. You could probably get away with a couple of them being squad players, but for them to be starting in your biggest game of the season just isn't good enough.

He definitely seems to divide opinion. Myself, I think he has been quality at certain spells for Utd but I'd say this season when he's played he has completely hidden away. As one of the senior and more composed players I thought he was awful tonight.
