I'd rather a ref lamp a player.

Players spend the entire 90 minutes lying to the ref to get him to make bad calls and then gets upset when he does.

In this case, even though the ref clearly made a mistake i very much doubt Arsenal can claim they wouldn't be 6 nil down if Gibbs atayed on and Ox went off.

Its not like he made a mistake and didn't send someone off or not give the penalty.

As for giving it, it looked like he hadn't made a decision, waited and conferred with his assistant then gave it. Just so happens the Chelsea players were complaining at the time. And he was right to award the pen and red card, just to the wrong man.
