how many of them have been really important though? most in draws, games that were already won or consolations.
that makes no sense mate (about scoring in games already won). because he's been a massive player in helping them smash us, utd and spurs that means it shouldn't be counted? its not like hes just about goals anyway is it? as well as being their best player in those games, he scores in a fair amount of them too

Official XI for United: de Gea, Rafael, Jones, Mata, Rooney (c), Carrick, Young, Fletcher, Kagawa, Buttner, Fellaini

Carrol is going to dominate.

Crikey..I reckon WEst Ham's odds have contracted since that team was announced.
But they also scored 13 against Man Utd, Spurs and Arsenal but only conceded 1. The thing is they tend to turn up for the big games so who knows how they might do in the CL. Depending on the group they maybe able to make it to the round of 16 but not much further.

Any PL team who qualifies should be confident of getting past the group stage, and as we saw in 2005 that lot don't even need to be very good to win the thing.

City and chelsea will rip their crap back 4 too pieces

I think even one of the lesser teams, so called, are going to hit these on the right day and score two or three goals and they wont for once find one or two more to reply with.

It's going to be a tight finish, but if you're a Kopite you look at that today and after the relief of the three points secured passes you think: 1) our GD from today is actually poorer than when we started vis-a-vis our opponents for the title, 2) WTF are we going to do with this defence when the high anxiety of the run in begins in earnest.

Me? I'll take a safe as houses defence over a free scoring attack with nothing behind it any day of the week.

It won't. They must qualify for the Champions League. It's the fans who really care about not winning a trophy.

i think they'll still qualify comfortably, we're the only team who can catch them imo. spurs just aren't good enough this season and united lose too many so never build up momentum.

we're just about hanging on in there grinding out wins atm. i just think they can take their foot off the gas/finish poorly but still finish 4th because of the gap.

we HAVE to beat them to have a chance though.

this might just be me, but i freaked out a bit when i thought the black part of the collar in that pic was moving, must be some kind of illusion that makes it look like its moving.

Teams should watch villa's first half performance at the pit as a way to beat them. You just have to play someone on top of Gerrard to shut them down.

I'm sure jose realizes this and will have someone like Matic on top of Gerrard for 90 min

Would you really? Are you telling me that if Everton were banging in 5 and 6 goals on a regular basis, your primary concern would be our defending if we let in 1 or 2 at the other end?

If we were conceding 3 against the worst attack in the league I would have some worries
