I wish more quality EPL players would venture O/S to play even for a season or 2 - think it generally improves them.

Rooney should have gone a few seasons ago - look at Bale - he was considered a very good player - with now playing for RM and really stepping up in that team he could well end his career considered to be one of the greats.

Rooneys career could very well now fade away and I think there will be a fair bit of "what could have been" about it.

teams have got to want them though. you don't see too many offers for british players in all honesty.

Garbage from Bayern and it's cost them a place in the final. Don't see them keeping Madrid out in the return leg.

I think you have to credit the Madrid rearguard though. They were snuffing out every bit of play Bayern tried in the final third.

As said in commentary, Guardiola dropped a bollock by not playing Martinez centrally and switching Lahm back to RB.

Hobson's choice isn't it? However, as long as it isn't Chelsea I'd be satisfied. Even when they were rubbish (I'm well old enough) I had a deep, visceral dislike of the club.

Pep can do one with his bore hard tactics

Will last about 2 seasons there if he keeps serving up that sh1te

We pay very high wages I imagine so even the journeymen players are on good money which wouldn't be matched by the midtable clubs in the rest of Europe.

EPL clubs also grab young players from all over into their own academies and youth squads - don't see too many going to the academies of the major mainland European clubs.

Broader debate but the amount of money in the EPL both helps and hinders development of British based players in many ways.
