I mean, I suppose you could corralate clean sheets, tackles made, passes made and assists for all the LB's in the world, but they all play in different leagues so then you'd have to rate the leagues themselves and then see how the performance of the player matches the difficulty of the league etc
Fraser Forster had a huge run of clean sheets in consecutive matches this season, I think it's the 2nd or 3rd longest in European history (And he beat the Scottish record), but you wouldn't say he was the best GK in the world, even though you could use the stats alone to make a pretty convincing argument
