ToffeeWeb

I was looking at something on ToffeeWeb, Michael answered a question and it had “ Editorial Team” under his name so it seems he’s stayed with TW and it looks to be just Lyndon on Evertonia .

Not sure what the score is there mate.

Got the information from Lyndon's post;

ToffeeWeb is in new hands and both mine and Michael Kenrick’s involvement with the site came to an end

I hope Michael sticks with TW, but the lad writing most of their articles, Anjishnu Roy, is a Man Utd supporting content manager from Indian firm sportzinteractive.net or a subsidiary. They're no longer Everton fan owned, or run.

Yep a bit strange. Roy is writing the articles, I just saw that Michael had commented that he’d removed a couple of posts and tidied up some comments. He used to do an excellent job of updating u21/u18 team lists, players appearances etc at one time, I haven’t checked to see if that’s still the case.

You'd miss flogging us jigsaws and other associated tat. Admit it.

And pint glasses.

Don't forget our Everton pint glasses.

It's very common now mate.

Most fan sites aren't genuine fan sites. Theyre media agencies who run a network of sites and setup Everton News, Goodison News or whatever an just lash content out to take advantage of Google news from content generators who aren't even fans. To be fair to the firm who picked TW up, at least they tried to find a fan [link]. And the lad who started writing for them at least didn't pretend to be a fan.

You can't be trying very hard, as an online entity, if you can't find some willing and able fans.

I find that I can get most news here on GOT, and a level of discussion / analysis to follow which I like.

There are many eloquent and knowledgeable contributors here amongst you, and steeped with the clubs history such that it is very hard to replicate.

I used to like Toffeeweb. What I find amusing these days is how some sites will jump on an Alan Myers posting "It's possible" on X and using that as the basis for a 5-paragraph "article"!

All about nothing and offering nothing!

I assumed these sorts of sites were just a hobby to some, or like media or digital tech Everton supporting students would do for their CV or a college project.
