For a club with money to burn, he might be worth the risk, depending upon the system and the players around him.

That said, Everton need to be more cautious. While I don't think he's near that bad, I also don't think he's the type of player we need (midfield workhorse) as we've got plenty of those. I'd rather have us be a bit more adventureous in the transfer market in terms of filling that position (M/AM) role.

The amounts being bandied about in the press are ludicrous and frankly, if we were to buy him for 5M, United fans would look at Everton management the same way we look at WBA management for buying Anichebe for 6M....a waste of money.
