think people just need to be sensible about it mate.
No one who is supporting his signing are under the illusion that he's going to be a world beater, but i honestly believe he could very well be a very good useful squad filler who will offer more than the likes of gibson, and osman can.
He could become a very useful player and maybe he wont work out but i think we just need to give him some time to settle, and get used to his team mates.
He has a whole summer now as a everton player, chance to bond with his team members in singapore and get used to how we play.
If we can get our other players in before singapore it'll be fantastic.

Plenty of their lurkers liked him though and knew there was a decent player in there. It was almost exactly the same with Gibson too. In both cases they saw them as not being of the very highest standard, so they wanted better, but most didn't hate him.
