Hmm? Who is the greatest CDM in the world? Is it James McCarthy, or is it still Marouane 'The white Patrick Viera' Fellaini? Tough call. It is good the way we sold the greatest CDM in the world, only to replace him with the brand new best CDM in the world. Hopefully, if we sell McCarthy, we will then get the even newer best CDM in the world to replace him.
 

Surely its about getting the midfield to attack as AM,s.. for [Poor language removed] sake McArthy scores against.. Us when playing for Wigan...
McArthy scores for Us against Man U. and he is a DM.. as a unit the midfield supplies the front line with possible opportunities and gives the defence cover when needed ... easy as ...?

Fellaini was terrible at CDM Friend.

This is why everyone is underwhelmed, we already know Cleverley and we've seen him around. I hate how "proven premiership quality" isn't mentioned apart from when a player DOESNT have it. This is a good steal, a free player that would easily cost us close to £8m. He's an english international FFS!

But still, yes. Let's get ourselves a playmaker surprise super-man, please. I heard Özil was unhappy at Arsenal?

I agree. And I agree that McCarthy is a massive upgrade from Fellaini from a defensive perspective. Not quite sure McCarthy is the best CDM in the league though. Barry can be a better CDM at times, better positioning.

No, no, no, I didnt say James McCarthy was the best in the league, I said hes defo in the top 5.
