Great piece of business if we do get him. If he works out then we've signed him for a minimal signing fee. I he doesn't work out then we can offload him at a profit.

Failing to see why so many are moaning over this.

Less games for Besic, considering El Fraudo is rar up The Clevs anus.

When McCarthy proves his hamstring isn't made of rubber band, and Besic stops becoming a walking yellow card I'll worry about that then. As I say if he's crap, he won't be taking minutes from anyone. Bobby doesn't have the long leash he had coming into this season.

Honestly can't see how anyone would view this as a bad signing.

Probably the same weapons who thought Lennon was a poor signing.
I think the problem is everyone wants us to sign a world beater with every transfer and I'd dream for us to aswell but that's not going to happen we do need squad players we need to get players who are cheaper, Moyes built us a very good team and a repuatation by signing cheaper players and players who really weren't originally rated that high, had awesome youtube videos or were all over the press.

If you like a hardworker, I believe you will like cleverley.
and this guy can pass. Maybe can share the work of Barry and Gibson?

I think it has more to do with him being a 'known commodity'. Every player we've signed that was this sort of player: Barry, Lennon, Gibson, Saha, McCarthy, etc, etc, etc immediately gets tagged by some of our fans as a waste or a bad transfer.

I know when we got Barry on loan I was in that camp...he piped me right down though to show he was a quality player. Everyone wants to sign some young world class player, but in reality that is not going to happen. Even when we do sign a player with that potential (Lukaku) there are still moaners saying we spent too much.

For me this is a low risk move that I'd take a punt on every time. He's 25, he's won the league, he's been capped by England, and he's free.

Agree with all that.
I think though the reason people get annoyed is that he will be our major signing most probably, when in fact he should be just another free addition to a squad. Hope I am wrong.

Let's put it this way...if his name was Tomas Cleverdowski and he has the same qualifications at say Bayern Munich, we'd all be going mad that we'd signed a 25 year old on a free who won the Bundesliga and had 13 senior caps for country.
