In fairness to Cleverley, he did endure two separate stints (ie at two different clubs) under Martinez. Thus, he's been 'extra-wigatonised'. Whether this can be reversed or not is the big question.

I reckon Cleverley will surprise many of us next season and show he's a better player than many give him credit for.

Have to say that as I was dead against us signing T.Clev, his apparent willingness and ability to play reasonably effectively in a number of positions is beginning to change my mind... as the wife heads for the kitchen waving the humble pie recipe in my direction.

People have already fallen for this trap.

Hasn't helped his case being played as a left winger. That being said, I died a little bit in side when we signed him, and die a little bit more each time he pollutes my eyes with his safety first football. Maybe a run in CM could see him become the new David Batty. Jesus, I hate Tom Cleverley.
