He’s going to be better than Osman, and I like Osman. He probably doesn’t possess the ability to ping one but he’s a better footballer than Leon was at the same age.

Nah Leon was a better footballer, impacted the game more and was more intelligent in possession

I haven’t gone too far back so I don’t know how serious people are being but he was utterly dreadful in the first half, to the point he might as well not have been on the pitch. Was a lot better 2nd half though.

Osman had a career threatening injury at 17/18 so can’t really compare the two at that stage of their careers.

I’m no Osman fan by any stretch but think he had far more about him than Davies. If Davies wants a career at this level he needs to improve every aspect of his game. Games are passing him by at the min, he’s having no impact whatsoever. Shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting XI IMO.

Did you go the game?

He was the second most anonymous player on the park, after DCL. Why would people be getting excited??

I did get excited when he broke in to the team a couple of years ago but he’s just not kicked on from then. Shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting XI.

Davies is really poor, in my opinion.

But why is Silva making him captain?

He must be knocking his balls in at training and at least staking a claim for the armband.

Honestly like, he’s got a point. I’ve seen Davies have bad games where he’s been better than today so why On earth you’d think people would have been excited by what he did today I don’t know. First half he was absolutely anonymous, second half he improved to the point that he was visible. If you think today was a good day for him your standards must be incredibly low.
