In all fairness he had one year left so he’s worth a new contract, although he should be loaned out for sure.

Even if he is the next Osman, that's not bad. On his day Osman was a good player.

He’s nowhere near Osman’s level though, which is worrying as Osman was bang average at best.

The only thing Davies has going for him is that he’s young, in my opinion he has regressed massively. A loan would make the most sense, if he doesn’t get that then it’s either down to him;

1. Not wanting to go on loan; which would indicate a poor attitude.
2. Nobody wants him at the level worth loaning (Championship, or foreign league).
Or 3. The club are keeping around as back up for the CMs we have, which is worrying as the team quality level drops when he’s on the pitch.

So it does whenever Lookman is playing, dpes t stop people from screaming for him day in amd day out.

Good grief.

We don't deserve talented youngsters.

Seriously. At least for a few years young players should be supported - Lookman, Davies, Dowell, DCL, Kenny, Beni etc - cannot be fooling everyone inc. U20 and U21 coaches. There must be something to them. And we know that fans shouts, social media, normal media reports do affect players' attitudes and motivation, so if we just support them , and then it turns out they don't play well enough, what's the problem? Especially when everyone says what a good academy we have, it seems like we are the only ones who don't support the young talents.

if he is sent out on loan he will have to play in a team with a different style to ourselves and be coached in a different way. Very rarely does that benefit either the player or the team. He has to stay and fight for his place and carry on with his development here.

Osman was on loan at Carlisle United at the same age.
