Hope he's one of many to be pulled to the side by Ancelotti and told in no uncertain terms that he has two options: Show ambition and leave Everton to play football and make a career for himself, or sit in our u23s and wait for his contract to end. Simply nowhere near good enough.

Problem with this is they sit it out which means because of ffp we can't bring in anyone else. Even when players like him go on loan we still end up with 90% of his wages

Can’t afford to be sentimental anymore, he needs to go. Far too comfortable here and no where near good enough. Holgate was basically given the ultimatum this year to improve into a first team player or fizzle out and leave, so far he’s more than earned his place. Same for DCL, especially since Silva left. Davies however is never in a million years good enough for us, or even a top division side honestly. Out of the three he’s played the most for the longest and he’s far and away the worst. Offers absolutely nothing and is a total liability in the team.

If he receives the ball within 6 yards of the opposition he loses it, for reasons;

1. Poor first touch and control
2. Poor ability to turn with the ball and create space even 6ft 4 Yerry Mina can do this whilst under pressure from a striker
3. Makes poor decisions attempting to just glide past people in the centre of the park at the wrong moment

Liability and not good enough, yeah he's a homegrown Scouser but that just doesn't cut it

Davies is only starting due to the long term injuries to Gomes and Gbamin. Unfortunately, Morgan is rubbish and Delph is too injury prone. He is a good squad player and that’s it, i want him to do well due to being a local lad. As the previous post said, we cannot be sentimental anymore.

Holgate and DCL are approx 2 years and 18 months older than him respectively.

Improvements can just happen dramatically at these ages so I wouldn’t let him go anywhere just yet but he could do with a loan. Somewhere he can go and learn under less pressure.

Like all Evertonians I want Tom to succeed and he has good qualities, the thing that is holding him back, if he is ever going to make, is he seems a very slow learner, making the same mistakes now as when he started. He’s still trying to make the killer pass, with us leading, by one goal, near the end of the game, instead of making the safe pass to one of his teammates under no pressure,little things like these will improve his game and his value as a team player,he’s got to improve his understanding of the game.

Gbamin, Gomes, Snides, Siggy probably costing us 400,000 a week - but let's put the boot into to Tom for gaining us points on the pitch.
Couldn't agree more mate, he's only playing because the rest are injured or playing worse than him. Who could be playing ahead of him at the moment?
