I’ve heard all this before. DCL and Holgate were written off and look what happens with a good manager and system. At 21with the experience he has gained, he can easily still develop and improve.
Our fan base write off all our youngsters far too soon. It takes time and patience to bring them through.
Give him time with Ancelotti and I am sure we will send his talent shine through.

I liked holgate at first but thought his loan at West Brom didn't go well. Didn't expect much from him. Let's not forget just because he's playing well now doesn't mean he won't tail off later. But he's been very very impressive. I've always rated DCL. Tom Davies has looked mostly lost this season but that's not to say he can't improve. As you say he's still very young and everyone was rubbish during the first part of the season. I absolutely love to see the youngsters doing well not sure why so many people are so quick to write them off

I think he has regressed. His passing has been well off and his shielding of the ball to gain fouls has been found out.

A loan in the summer window could really make or break him. As an option off the bench, he does not fill me with confidence.

The fact that he was our best player at times when he came in during our awful period, showed just how bad we were as a team as now I see him 4th choice in midfield with Gomes back soon.

It can’t help a younger players development having to work under so many managers in a short space of time, especially when the more experienced players are playing so poorly?!
Hopefully now, with the team improving and a manager who will hopefully be here for years to come, it’ll help Davies in his development?!

He stressed me out when he got subbed on & proceeded to lose possession about 5 times in 10 minutes.

Always thought Holgate would be decent since I watched his debut in the mini derby despite giving an early pen away.
Calvert Lewin has got a physical presence about him. Although I don't think he'll be a 'top player'.
Always said Davies has no attributes for a Premier league midfielder.
What about you?

I think Tom Davies will be an excellent player yet.
I think this season has been difficult for him because he has been played out of position to fill gaps in midfield.
He has leadership qualities and when he he has a more stable central midfield behind him I think we will see a much improved player.

In general, regarding Holgate, DCL, Davies and Kenny I think supporters have very little understanding of what these players are going through in the learning phase of their career. I think the learning curve is very steep and some get there quicker than others.

Would he get any minuites at Chelsea liverfool City United Leicester wolves arsenal that is your answer he is best played in a 4231 formation like he does for the u21s he's an average player we need IGOR ZELBELDIA trust me I no a player wen I see one and he's the man at real sociadad I watched him about 50 times he's awesome last week against Madrid was one of the best performances

He was like a headless chicken that first 10 minutes when he came on. Unreliable.

Defo needs a loan next season. Would love to see him do well but he is way off a good premier midfielder currently. He gives it away too much. You cannot do that in the top league.

He would get minutes at those teams tbh yes bar the top 2, they do have players who are hopeless too.

His problem right now is he's not a midfielder who can play in a two, same as siggurdsson, heck same as all of our centre mids most probably.
