Good point, he played in a couple of belting balls to DCL 2nd half

My MOTM personally and I dont think it's a coincidence that he plays his best football with Gomes. Must be a relief to have someone next to him who is also happy to receive the ball.

Defending could use a little work, needs to stay away from dumb yellows, although I didn't exactly mind him mixing it up with those Utd trolls.

Would have been even better if he had someone other to pass to on the wings than Sig and Walcott. FFS.

I also dont think it's a coincidence that when Gomes is ready to start his first game that suddenly Davies is back in the team. They would be the pairing for me for the rest of the season. Add to that that out of our current crop of centre mids hes the one who can actually improve and benefit from starts.

Been one of his biggest critics. Too slow at times, easily knocked off the ball and his ball control can be bad. Proved it first half. Had a good second half I've always said we should give him another years before decide. Now Tom needs to play like he did second half all of the time.
