2019/20 Tom Davies

He'll never improve, we need to make money on him and sell the lad to a bottom 5 team or maybe championship. It's a testament to our development setup: the ability to make a player who cost nothing bring in money from a transfer whilst at the same time not being actually that good at footy.

You think his sexual orientation hasnt something to do with his performance on the pitch. Must be bloody difficult if you are gay and play professional football. Doesnt know anybody who has managed it.
Hmmm - Times have changed fella (thankfully). Your sexuality does not govern your desire, passion and skill and overall ability to do your job. Gay or not Tom's sexuality is not the issue here.

Our midfield of Sigs, Gomes and Davies was our downfall yesterday. Out if the 3 Davies should be the most defensive but that was always going to be hard for him. Carlos messed up in midfield yesterday.

agreed , you can’t okay 3 midfeilders that can’t run, tackle, challenge in the air, or pass forward. They’re all so slow that as soon as one of them is beaten by a pass, skill or pace, none can cover or recover and get goal side .

You'd be hoping to see some signs of progress in him at this point, like you could with DCL. Instead, all we're seeing is regression.

Unfortunately I just don't think he's cut out for this level of the game and we'd be best to ship him out for a fee in the summer.

But he is young, local and we have not given him a chance, so the mantra goes. We either aim for players who can take us upwards toward top 5/6 or we put up with crap like him and a good few others. Is Carlo the man to wield the axe on loads of players? I don't know.

We've certainly given him enough games to be able to stake a claim, just looks like it's too big a step up for him. Shown small glimpses over the last few years but has definitely had more poor than good games this season.

It's 100+ appearances now - he has to be showing more.

I get annoyed at people writing players off too soon, but this isn't one of those cases. Lower half Prem standard at best, realistically he's probably a Championship standard player.

Yep I've always defended our Tom, hoping for a glimpse that he's on the right path. But as things stand, apart from the odd 2jd half performance against the Mancs, he's currently making Mark Noble look like a modern day Roy Keane compared to him.

He's had various managers, but none better than Ancelotti and he hasn't really got much change out of him either.

For me siggy and schneiderlin need to go before tom, the 2 which came in with large transfer fees and large wage bills. Tom is young and can be a squad player who helps us in the home grown player rule. A loan spell may be good. We have Bolasie, sandro, garbett and a load more garbage out on loan which needs to be disposed of.

Very young and needs to build up experience. We need a couple of top centre mids, with Davies supporting and playing in low risk games.

Made his debut four years ago! Yesterday he was out classed, out thought, out played, out run, out fought by a lad of eighteen, who looks about nine stone wet through, and who was playing his second game for Chelsea! He won't be getting the five year deal his two mates had last week!

Another Gosling, Rodwell??

Spot on, add Davies, Siggy and Schneids possibly Sidbe to the list.
